Do you have to remove the headlights when using a kit like this? Just thinking of the edges....

Is there a guide on how to remove the front bumper in the "how to" section?

Reviving an old thread here, but I had to replace my headlight globes today and just my luck, the clip broke. I'm going to cable tie it as a temporary fix (sorry Mark), but has anyone found another option that won't have me paying out the ass?

I just checked mine to see how the cable tie is fairing. Still holding strong! I also have a bit of black silastic around the base of the globe and that will hold it even if the cable tie breaks! I am not going to bother about trying to fix it until I replace the entire headlights (which might be....) :)

Me either.

My headlight clip repair is better. I actually made a new spring steel globe holder.

Pics...

Also you are the one that did my halos!
In a completely unrelated scenario that's like sucking dick and then saying you are homophobic.

Ha! Reminds me of some lyrics by oft-quoted (by me) band TISM... "I might not be homosexual, but I've slept with a guy who's one."

Sorry to revive an old thread but I snapped my clip today. Haven't driven yet but I hope this holds up because I can't afford to replace the headlight.

Saw the OP say he used silastic to further secure the bulb. I've never used this stuff before, can it be easily removed if you need to replace the bulb again?

Is this something I can use?

These light clips seem to be a weak point …. Seems to be plenty of stories of them failing.
Bit crappy that a cheap part of the component effectively renders the thing broken.
Rubber band aid solution interesting but could you not mould a bit of wire to fit the pattern?

That base gets pretty hot, so I don't expect the rubber bands to last long at all when the lights are on...

I've used a bit of sealant, so hopefully that holds the bulb in place if the rubber bands end up snapping. I might buy some cable ties and see if that's better

Took a little fiddling to get the tie on, but I think this is more durable
