Today's mod - smash repairs.

Someone drove into the car trying to park next to me, they just nudged the right rear wheel arch. It wouldn't have done a lot of damage had they not already have hit a concrete pole somewhere, because their car was carrying a bunch of white powdery paint and a whole lot of concrete chips/etc, which did a great job of scratching my paint. Thankfully the driver owned up to it, and the work is being done on his insurance.

The rear bar is being removed, the wheelarch smoothed back out, the rear quarter panel (right up to the roof, gotta love a single piece roof/rear section) resprayed, and the whole lot put back together again. The repairer (a mate of mine who restores old cars for a living, so he's good at this stuff) will also touch up any stone chips, etc.

I'm going to get the car detailed after this is finished. Then I'll get some photos. :)

Haha, the damage would have to be more substantial to justify that. Maybe that's what owen should have done. :)

BoV has been replaced. To expand on that, the vacuum hose connector on top of the BoV stripped itself out of the body of the BoV. I sent a photo to Turbosmart, they were immediately concerned and asked me to come show it to them, and they replaced the top piece immediately. They've taken my old one away to analyse what went wrong with it.

I have a photo, I'll get it uploaded.

When are you back in Sydney again Matt? :)

  • VF52
  • Invidia 2" dump with splitter
  • TCP 3" mid/Y-pipe
  • STI mufflers

It needs to settle in a bit - it can be quite boomy (especially when cold). The exhaust tips are also sitting a bit uneven at present (left ones stick out further than right), I'll get that all lined up nicely shortly.
