So, I filled up on on 98 a week or so back there after reflashing it, and decided to drive around until the 98 ran out to flash it back to eflex. So, a credit to Coyote, it took me a week and a half and about 600km to drain the tank. I spent last night driving around everywhere in an attempt to burn off about 1/3 of a tank.
Now back on eflex. Hoping to tee up some dyno time with the Coyote this week to finally sort this flex tune out and run a final number before the engine swap.

So, moving along. Has anyone been in an ej25x powered vehicle with a 35r on it? As I have procrastinated for a few months about doing the engine swap I have also accidentally saved a few extra dollars so i am now starting to think about cosworth heads and a big garrett.

Fk me you're a patient man!

Cosworth heads? Didn't know they made a dual avcs one ;)

As for your other question - been in a mildly built ej257 with a 3582 (older style not gtx) and this thing hauled ass.

Go the gtx3582, or precision 6262 or Holset s61 - you won't regret either of those

Cosworth make a DAVCS head to suit the late model STi's. It would need an air pump hole delete kit too and away we go.
But, I honestly would rather have some locally machined heads. I think Aussies are pretty savvy with Subaru builds. The Cossie ones appeal as they would be sitting on the floor, and when the time comes it all just goes together, no waiting for machining.
I will probably talk myself out of a big turbo, and back into it about a dozen times before I make a call.

Saw a 2.5L WRX with a 35R at MMS on Thursday.
Rear diff was shredded, replacing diff, dog box was coming out and 6 speed going in.
Apparently above 4500rpm its insane......

Hope your driveline can handle one.

Does sound like fun though................

Thanks Coyote and Matt Spry.

Don't want to sound like an internet bullshitter, but there is plenty left in it. Saw as much as 270 but it was light on for fuel pump at that point and our of MAF voltage.

No time for enjoying, it is time for 2.5!
Well, I might drive it for a month...
...or put in a bigger pump and uprated MAF sensor..

The AVO drop in one. 260 lhp or something.
I guess the correct answer is 'one that is too small'

Rome: yeah, it is noticeable when it comes on boost. One can feel a slight change in the acceleration.

Not the answer I was hoping for :( :(

I'm now concerned my sard 265 in tank (which I only bought 2 months ago) will not be enough for my power goals on e85

Looks like external pump or walbro 450 is on the cards now
