You're brake light might be out. That can make you lose about 25awkw apparently.

So been a while since update

Been waiting on headers to be modified. Initially was getting all flanges (except head to headers) replaced with v bands. This was delayed as the person doing it was too busy.

Then got them back and tried getting several places to complete the above but no one wanted to do it.

So ended up just getting all the flanges resurfaced. They didnt do the uppipe flange on the headers side, which pissed me off as this is the one most warped.

Anyway put them all back together today. Despite an absolutely ridiculous anount of tightening (and i mean real real real fucking tight), I can see daylight through the uppipe to header flange. Unfortunately that proves my point that this is the worst one of them. It pissed me off cos I bought all new grimmspeed gaskets to suit uppipe, standard Subaru turbo flange and the t3 inlet to my turbo (to the tune of $160 total), and with the warped flange this will most likely blow the 3 bolt gasket out again unless I fix it soon.

In saying that, alot of the hesitations on spool up have gone, and its a tiny bit more responsive too.

Will be testing further and hopefully getting that surface redone next week

Thanks for the offer, J

No I'm single scroll.

Only thing is I'm twist mounted so would need to modify the up pipe anyway I presume?

I've got 3 of them here - very good quality too with the step in them.

Get them from goleby's parts in QLD

Cool...but the up pipe is 60mm OD...the 2.5 is to big, unless you flare it out...and 2.25 is to small..

Are you going to use a new piece of pipe?

You're right they're 65mm ones

A bit of 2.25" pipe sits nice inside the uppipe and header flange, and can be butt-welded up against the v band flanges to make a nice fit. This provides the added benefit of taking the tension off the v band clamp itself too, so less chance of fatigue over time.

Might just go this way and take it to an exhaust place to get the flange done while its on the car.

What a waste of a new $60 grimmspeed gasket

I had the day off today so installed the bc coilovers I bought off Justin some time ago.

Whilst it was in the air I thought id try some new bolts and tighten the uppipe flange again. Its still leaking slightly but it is better and good thing is I can stall it up alot quicker now on the brake

If I get a chance I'm gonna try get to Wsid on Wednesday and see how it goes
