Well the Legnum was sold approximately 9 months ago now, and I have since embarked on a new project...
Having received some sombering news of having arthritis I was looking for a comfortable cruiser to accommodate my 6'4" aging body. For the price range, I don't think the XR6 T could be beaten - so here's the result:
BA XR6 Turbo
1 owner
71,000ks
Full service history
Factory Leather
Factory Premium Sound
Factory Sat Nav (Very rare!)
Overall the car is immaculate condition and a real credit to the owner - who as it turns out lived in Roxby downs (mining town outback SA) and would use the car for an annual trip to the Snow Mountains to see family, and the occasional trip to Adelaide to see friends - so majority of the kms are also country kms
So without further adue, pics:

Since purchase I have gone taken the following steps over the last few months:
In August last year I had the following done:
External trans cooler & trans service
Diff fluid change
Engine oil and filter
New plugs
New brake fluid
New FMIC
Custom Tune,
Results of the day, were it began by setting a
new record on Heinrich Performance Dyno..... 193rrwkw starting figure. Lowest he'd ever seen from an XR6T :/
However when he'd finished was a much more respectable 264rwkw

Then, Right Rear got a puncture, resutling in forked sidewall. Result? needing new tyres went in search of new wheels 'n' tyres. Ended up with FG XR6T Luxury Pack 19" alloys. Nice OEM look but just a little different:

Following this weather was heating up so I had the windows tinted... bit darker than i was expecting

With the looks department nearing being sorted, I then went about modifying the audio system. I picked up some decent speakers second hand for a very good price (under 1/3 new cost!), so a week of nights were spent upgrading the stereo.
Fronts are Pioneer TS-A1702C components, Rears are JL Audio C2 570X.
The stock setup was 5x7 2ways in the doors and tweeters in the A Pillars, 5x7 in the rear parcel shelf. In the factory setup there is no crossover, just a high pass filter (capacitor) on the tweeter on the A Pillar. Installing the splits was the biggest pain, and took me over 3 nights (about 2 hours per night) but this was taking my time. I re-used the factory loom to the crossover, then new wiring to the mid range and tweeter from there. Pain in the backside running new wires was!! much trim removal
Rear speakers were piece of piss!! 15 mins to remove the parcel shelf cover, 15 min to install the two speakers (soldering in wiring) and then 10 mins to put it all back together - much better!
Results?
The sound from the splits has MUCH better clarity (SQ??) than the stock 2 ways in the doors and tweeters in the A-pillar! Couldnt be happier really. The 5x7s in the rear give great balance, and now the only thing letting the whole show down is the sub. Still the factory 8" paper cone in the parcel shelf, I'm thinking of replacing this with either a Polk DB840SVC or a Kicker CVT8 (polk is slightly cheaper) as both these subs have been proven to work well with the factory amp.
And to how it sits nowThe rear has always sat up a little from factory, so I had some Pedders sports ryder springs installed to bring the rear down about 15-20mm. I also had REMSA Pads & RDA Slotted rotors installed (that I bought 4 months ago) and brake shudder is finally gone! The pedal feel is great too - nice 'n firm.
But the biggest visual change came in the form of New Shoes:
19x8.5 (245/35) & 19x9.5 (275/30)

Just need to sort out what to do with rear cap (as thread for pulling CV into the hub by the pacnut pokes out to where cap sits)
Until I sort the rear out, I will just pull the caps off all together. I dont like the chrome finish, so was thinking of painting silver to match the wheel centre, OR possibly getting BBS caps... or just painting them satin black... I dont know yet.
