gtsti_13 wrote:Do you have any other suggestions on where to mount them Mo_gt... i just didnt want to do the same as everyone else.... used a second hand lid and kept the original lid.

In the cubby with a panel made up or with one of the after market panels - kinda like these:Image

Or with a nice mount made up and intergrated on to the steering coloumn/around the rest of the instruments.

I really don't like the A pillar, dash hood, a/c vent gauge installs - to me, they are too stripped out racer boy kinda thing - fast and the furious style. The GT IMO is not suited to that kinda thing. WRX/lancer/180sx/skyline/supra/rx7 - yes, GT, MPS6, etc - no.

Putting gauges in the cubby is fine if you use smaller style gauges 52mm or smaller as are used in that pic.

To use a DEFI or other 60mm gauge as gtsti_13 is there is a bit of work in fitting them in the cubby

As to whether it looks good or not it hes car so as long as hes happy with hes job thats all that matters

GOOD WORK CEASAR

yes, i know but isn't it worth the work? I understand that different pple have different tastes and different ideas.

Two 60mm defi gauges in my friends GT with a custom install:

Best pic i could find, the tv screen blocks the gauges but you can make them out. notice that they are slightly angled towards the driver?

You could still get other gauges like oil temp, exhaust temp, etc...

Not a big fan of the STi boost gauge. Looks tooo... "I'll think I'll just bolt it here" kinda look. It cheapens the look of our rides as it sticks out of nowhere. I prefer more subtle looks..... Like urs PHATTY!

Fish boy has the STi genomes in his car! He got it at a bargain price toos. haha

That is actually dangerous and asking for a yellow sticker - may not be ADR approved as the GT has airbags in the pillar.

I like this panel but the gauges are too small and GTSTI_13"s 60mm gauges will not fit.

Hi Mo

what you mean the 60mm dont fit

as the pic with the defi's and nav screen is my car and they fit fine and have fitted two 60mm defi gauges in a few lib gt now

and yes the lid still closes like normal for that stealth look
