I too was very happy with the hybrid panel filter for the longest time. But as the performance mods increase, this tends to be the weakest link over time.

So you'll want this .... nay .... you need this mod to get it back on par with everything else. So come on! Do iiiiitttttttttt!!!!!!!!! :D

Alternatively there's the Apexi pod filter for under $200.

Would like to see what difference the extra $1000 gets me over the $200 tried-and-tested kit from A'PEXi.

I would say the blitz is all tested aswell but you are getting more than a pod itself.

I know you get the blingy CF intake box, but is it really that much better than the standard one? Am I going to see an extra 5 or 10kW gain compared to the A'PEXi setup?

DOES YOU CAR GO ANY FASTER IF YOU FIT 4K RIMS FROM RAYS ON YOUR CAR ???

i can bag any hi end product for car all day as they all con an pro but each to there own

the price maybe high but this BLITZ kit has way more beifits than the APEXI pod kit

as for the e dry filter being exposited Mick may be able to help here but if you try your argument here in SYD with the boys in blue all you'll get is a day in court and a fat fine

Arguably, yes, compared to some cheapo wheels, there would be weight differences which might account to numbers.

And I should just leave it at driving the carbon fibre. My attempt at carbon fibre underwear didn't go so well. :?

hey jim, i was just wondering if, with each mod are you/should you be getting a re-tune?
I of course ask this without any knowledge on the subject as i haven't had a tune yet.
the mods i'm referring to are ones that i think you've gotten after your less than overwhelming experience with Paul like K2, Phat D.P and now the pod filter.
I spend most of my money on booze, fast cars and women, I just waste the rest...

Hmm, this is a bit of a touchy subject because a lot of people have different views when a tune/re-tune is required. For me, a re-tune is not really necessary after each mod. Perhaps a dyno if the person is wanting to keep track of what mods produced what result. But a tune is only required for mods that dramatically change the A/F ratio. These are the DP and the boost controller (and for some people larger turbo or FMIC).

Everything else like the exhaust, intake, TMIC, etc will enhance the current condition you're in without disrupting the balance of things.

So yes, I did get a re-tune after the DP, and it has restored the faith I have in the tuning process. Car felt great and alive after that. With the addition of the intake, it feels even better. I don't think another tune is required. A re-tune now would enhance it a bit sure, but not enough to justify the money for it.
