BIG fan of the wing on the Gen2 wagon.

Really finishes off the rear imo.

Me too Mark, I dig it a bunch.

Just got a couple of little mechanical tweaks and then I'm moving on to paint / panel.

Nice Jimbo. Sneaking a little JDMishness in with the racks on racks on racks. Wind fairing time?
Thought of removing rear badges?

I actually want try and find a cheap roof basket so I can throw bikes on the roof easily, and I reckon it'd probably come off as JDM looking too. Hahah.

Not sure about de-badging. I like the look, but want the car to look as normal as possible.

Same goes with wheels. I keep thinking about getting more aggressive wheels to fill out the pumped guards (more black) but fear it will just attract unwanted attention.

Yeah man, you're right about that. I think it'd look dope! This one is just down the road from me. Anyone from Boronia is neg on price :p
No badges will make it look cleaner, yet still normal
Any wheels you get to fill the guards will still be mostly tyre unless you go big dia. Some black 17" Sti wheels would look nice.

I imagine the postage, even by e-go, would be prohibitive! Gotta buy mounts for the sucker too. I've seen baskets locally go for $150-200 including mounts, waiting on a couple of clients to pay up and then will just buy one.

When I say fill the guards, I mean wider

I really like what BenTZ did with the rims on his OBK, but they are probably a bridge too far for me at 18 x 9.5. Looks super tough though, and I could only imagine grip levels.

I'd probably be better off getting a new guard, giving Emma's dad some money for paint... at least for now.

Fitted a Turbosmart 52mm to replace the knockoff Apexi gauge that came with the car. Mounted it on the lower section of the steering column, so it pokes out in the lower half of the wheel.

Don't really like the position and planning to mount on the upper half somewhere, I have a spare steering column cover so no biggie.

Either way the current spot is a big improvement over being cable tied to the dash vent slash taped under the dash near my knee.

For anyone playing at home I used a VUMAXX cup/mount. From what I've seen it's fairly unique - it uses a ball-joint to mount on, and seems to be very flexible as it comes with a number of different ball joint mounts. Only US15, but cost nearly double that to ship here.
