Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I felt that I had to post my thoughts on the sprintbooster. *Thanks Franky for the speedy delivery BTW*
Now I have to admit I was skeptical and I was even advised that I was going to be wasting my money. Anyway, I thought I would give it a go (as I was v.frustrated with the FBW throttle) and what diference it makes!!
I've only taken my car for a 15 minute drive since I installed the SB and reset the ECU. But already the diference is very noticeable, the car goes through the revband much much quicker and actually feels alive. In S# mode (and Auto) I find myself waiting for the car to change up to the next gear alot (in S mode this is not so noticeable).
I think it moves a little quicker (from a standstill) from the time the pedal is pushed but the change is more noticeable in 2nd and 3rd.

Anyway, I just thought I would give my bit, I know not everyone is happy with the SB but maybe the diference is more noticeable on the 2.5T than the 2.0T??

I doubt it as it does the same thing in every car.

Makes it "feel" nicer, but no difference in performance.

Would still prefer to spend the $400 on a tune that actually makes it go better, than to fool you into thinking it goes better.

Save your money and get the tune. You'll find most people that have the SB end up selling it off once they get the tune, because the tune tends to greatly resolve that hesitation problem. Plus the tune provides more performance and response benefits to boot.

Or... save the $400 bucks and reset your brain to mash the pedal to the floor faster!

Or... buy a 3.0R-B! :P

fair enough :) ... each to their own I guess. I will probably do away with the SB once I get the tune done (when I have a spare 2K), but in the mean time for $370 this has definately improved response... feels more like the 08 model that I drove :D

Yes but the important question is, after this mod, have you been able to beat your wife in her Liberty beating Forz?

And by beat I mean through a friendly road race between 2 cars, not the one where you pummel her with your fists.

Bit of a thread dig... just got myself another Sprintbooster to try, now that I have a tuned ECU (thanks Franky).

I can say that it makes a much more noticeable difference now than before. Car will kickdown gear much faster and much more readily than it did in the past.
