Arith wrote:Looks awesome! Great work! Chrome of the wheels match the wheels a bit, although if you blacked out the chrome surround of the grill it would look nice too! :D

When you get a chance, scratch off the red dots on the tire sidewalls, and apply a bit of tire shine to match the gloss of the black pearl!

Hey Jim - thanks for your help! BTW - no chrome. They are a machined finish  And no I won't be coloring in that grille!! :D :D I like it that way! haha!!

Didn't notice the red dot - I'll have to have a closer look now! :D BTW - if you saw that red dot (I've found it), then I'm surprised you didn't pick up on the number plate location...

Cheers

EDIT - Jim, did you mean chrome of the grille, not wheels??

LOL! Sorry Steve. I mean the chrome of the grill matching the machined finished of the wheels (as in both have a silvery steel appearance).

Steve, you should also post at least 1 updated pic in your most recent posts. That way people can see the effect straight away without having to switch back and forth between the last and 1st page. Just a thought.

Good point - I'll stick a pic in there now and will do for the future. Thanks for the feedback.

I should post a How Do I on it to be honest - there's a lot of fiddling around to be done. It's actually not finished. A good mate of mine is a f'glasser and I need him to weave his magic on few spots and then I want to paint the inner surround to match the car. I also need to make a new bracket behind the badge so it cannot be seen through the grille.

Jimmy S wrote:looks awesome Steve... can go lower though!..

Haha! It was, but I had to lift it again due to lack of camber adjustment at the rear! It looked awesome but completely unpractical! So I compromised and settled on this height. Even at this height, I still get a little rubbing on a hard corner on the inner guard so I'll have to fix that soon.

Cheers

Sentinel.

I know the new wheels are a 19" x 8.5" mate, but what offset are they?

She's looking tidy as mate, a real credit to you.

Cheers.
