I was only looking at the AVO version of the mid section and Y pipe and a set of AVO mufflers. Comes close to $2000 installed. Full stainless and quality gear.

A TCP turbo back is less than that fully installed as well. Also full stainless. I'll vouch for the quality.

Don't think for a second that paying for an AVO branded one will make you better power.

and AVO is not even made here ... maybe Taiwan or China

Bugger Brandon, I was just at Revzone today picking up my original fuel pump. Saw your car there and wondered what was going on.

Either way I'm not sure why you need a "thigh for Xmas" as per your post. Is this about Christmas lunch?

What's the issue with the car at the moment?

This sucks man, really hope you get it back in time. Do you have access to another car for your holidays? I'd lend you my car for the week but I need it ;)

It's all good, I have access to hundreds of cars literally so a car to drive is not an issue ;) just going on holidays and want it for that, at the end of the day I'll just tell em not to boost it and just give it back and I'll leave it as is, they are saying the actuator is not strong enough which they should have known as they did the turbo upgrade and it's good for 22psi

I was there at 8:00am as the guys were coming in. Your car was in a different spot in the shop and looked liked it was being worked on. There were about 4 new WRX's there also at the time.

Keep us updated on what happens.

interesting i thought the ATP's came with a 1 bar actuator, unless there have been mods to the turbo or the exhaust housing. Hope it gets sorted.

Been emailing them this morning and they have spoken with atp.As you may know this car has a ball bearing custom turbo and they have said it had a stock actuator cause they knew it was being run in, i think its just the turbo company gold digging as the car uses the factory boost controler and you can only adjust these through the ecu so there was no risk of the original owner boosting it, im a bit pissed off that they would even supply a stock one at all when they say that the turbo can handle 22 psi, it just doesnt sit well with me, i think when i get an actuator i will not get it through there comapany

anyways good news is they are pulling it off the dyno as we speak and should be ready tonight

so im driving the car in this morning and used the I drive thing which they have set up as a boost controller with 3 settings so i put it up ti the high setting and after a few good boosts the car started running funny so when i got into work i had a bit of a look as they said to keep an eye on the pipe the joins to the throttle body as it was blowing off!! anyway when i had a look i noticed the boost controller hose under the inlet manifold had blown off!! Ive now fixed this and use some cable ties to hold it on

Read some of the threads on how SI Drive works. They will explain why it feels different and why boost is different. It's not as simple as different boost settings, in fact SI Drive has no direct control over boost.

I know that it's not just boost that it effects but mine has been set up with different boost in all settings the graphs show this, I will read up on it though cause as soon as I change the settings at say 2500rpm off boost I can feel the change in torque at the foot
