Hello Allz,

My last goody arrived today....I'm very impressed by the quality and size of this up pipe....looks way better than the perrin one and other similar brands.........next step now is to get all these goodies installed and the car tuned hopefully in the next coming weeks :D

Morning All,

Dropped the car off yesterday...

Told Matt from HP-F to take there time on the installation ( week at best ? ). Got a couple of other things I'm considering on putting on but wont know until I get some quotes back.... :D

In addition, I'm getting my gutter rashes fixed by wheelfixit ( vince ) mobile wheel repair mob. He is charging me $160.00 per rim, not bad considering his driving to HP-F and doing it there.

Crusn recommended the same mob he used to get his wheels done...but they are SOOO busy and bit too far from berwick. I convinced vince to match price or similar with repairing and colour matching the rim, instead of silver chroming it ( which costs $300.00 + per rim! ) NICE! 8)

dyno day: I'll be running late ( around 1-2pm ) got a wedding rehearsal at cockatoo in the morning, have notified no lag mark :)

Talking about dyno day, Matt from HP-F was really feeling bad about not being able to host the dyno day for us....had a good chat about it....he actually thought no lag mark was bit upset with him.....??????? were you mark? ....Matt said: HP-F are aware that there subaru customers are VERY important to them...not in his exact words he did mention that "members from club liberty alone have swung heaps of people our way" the last couple of months we have been FLOODED with liberty's and WRX it's not funny.....I said it should be called subby power factory!!!! 8) Story goes they are decking out the whole area of the AWD dyno...since it's in "matt's words - still stuck in the 80's" and they would like to bring it up to date.....should be a good turnout once it's done and renovated.

But unfortunately there is no final time line of start and completion of the revamp, so Matt couldn't make a booking for us, just in case that week the place wasn't ready...understandably...also i think the price he was going to charge us was bit cheaper ($45-$50) than what springy has offered...no matter.....should be a fun day!

Cheers All! :D

Dear Diary......... 8)

Turbo and up pipe are bolted on ( IT JUST FITS..and I MEAN JUST FITS ) with phats dump pipe on but car is NOT ready yet as there are slight problems with the following: -

1/ fabricator at HP/F currently only works part time and is required to make....
a. flange and piping from turbo to perrin TMIC with brackets
b. oil line that came with turbo isnt compatible with AUS liberty (since it's originally for a WRX/STI) and also requires modification/fabrication
c. HP/F flat out as usual ( but are trying there best to have car ready by end of the week HOPEFULLY )
d. slight rear diff leak has been found to be at the actual bolt/seal.

Nice work mate……

Did you have any luck with speaking to Subaru about the diff leak issue, I think they have some sort of repair kit for it since it’s a known problem.
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

Jaydece's Mini Development Project

Postby Gambit » Fri Sep 23, 2011 4:31 pm

Drool... Nice fab work there!! I gotta say they know what they do. And for the northern boys the hpf dyno in Vic is known as a heartbreaker, especially on dyno days.

I was really suprized they went to all that trouble to get it to fit the TMIC, I was expecting a rotate here and there, silicon hose / pipe there, followed by some flanges and job done......talk about fabrication to the MAX huh? I'm SOO happy they did what they did......couldnt ask for better! I asked about the change in the turbo's flowing capacity and they reckon it shouldn't make a difference what so ever, maybe even better flow since there's no pipes or restriction compared to if they went down the pipe/flange etc scenario....

Hey anthony! I read on another thread you mentioning that your car is not ready? I thought you had everything done already except for E85 ?

the hpf dyno in Vic is known as a heartbreaker = I assume your saying this cause the dyno is NOT happy right? ehehehehe nice description! 8)

Btw I was talking to Marty today (tuner) at HP/F and I'll be the second person using a GTX series setup at HP/F that he will be tuning ( guess who was the 1st?! ) ..................Y O U
