From the Group A product development team. i thought might be useful to some of you here. it's not the exact email i got, but has the same basic information.

~~~
We are currently sorting through the proper fitment guides for the PS pulley and we wanted to make you aware of what is going on.
We have learned that Subaru uses three different power steering pumps across the years and models.
One is a press on and the pulley can't be replaced
One has a coarse spline
One has a fine spline.
Upon investigation we have learned that Subaru used these three pumps with no rhyme or reason switching them 7 times in 5 years.
In some cases we are finding the exact same car (year and model) have one pump in the months beginning of the year and another in the middle and then changes it again for the ending months.
Until a proper fitment matrix can be created based on info we are getting from Subaru in order to determine what pulley you require it will be necessary for you to remove your stock pulley from the pump and look at the back of the pulley. If there is a recess around the spline hole then you require the coarse pulley. If it is flat then you require the fine pulley.
If anyone has any questions please tell them to contact us at: tech@groupa.ca
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we are working hard to clarify the fitments.
We will have pictures posted up on this page very soon showing the difference between the two pulleys.
Thanks,
Group A Performance Products
