Postby Ric » Mon Dec 10, 2007 11:56 am

The next version of phpBB (which this forum runs on) will be officiallyu released on Thursday.
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 4&t=611789

Here's a full comparison between phpBB2 and phpBB3.

I'll probably install it next weekend, so long as no problems appear when I to a test run :)

Yes it is, but I'm going to have to take the board down for a few hours to do it, and I'm just trying to find a good time that won't put people out.

Depends, I guess some people will have more withdrawl symptoms than others... Mano might have issues if you take the board down for more than 15 minutes. :P

I'm happy the way it is :D

I think you should save the time Ric & just leave it IMO.

Nahhh, it's definitely going to happen.
Support for phpBB2 ends on 1-Jan-2009, and I need to get more familiar with phpBB3, seeing as how I'm on the official support team for it ;)
phpBB3 has some features you'll find very useful, like being able to upload photos! ;)
