Cruise groups

Postby Ric » Wed Oct 26, 2011 7:15 pm

I've created a usergroup called "Melbourne cruisers", so I can send a mass PM to anyone whio has been on any of our cruises, notifying them of new ones.
Membership of the group is purely voluntary, and people can join or leave the group whenever they want.

If any of the other states would like to setup a similar facility, PM me to discuss it. You'd have to nominate one or more people who would have permission to send messages to the group, as I think it would get annoying if anyone could send mass PMs like that.

Note, you can quickly check what "groups" you are in by looking at your own profile.
You can apply to join groups, and resign from them in your UCP (User Control Panel) (Quick link).

Click on "User Control Panel" up in the header
Click on the "Usergroups" tab
In the section labelled "Non-memberships", you will see a list of all the groups you are NOT a member of.
Select "Melbourne cruisers", then click the "Select" button down in the bottom right corner. (The dropdown to the left of the button will already be on "Join selected".)

Why don't you say what you really think? :D
Yeah, it was an experiment with a different look, as many people said they wanted to emphasise the "CLUB.LIBERTY" part.
